The Biggest Winners of the Week from WPT, WSOP, SCOOP and more!

This week has been another exciting one on the live and online tournament circuit and several players have boosted their bankrolls and walked away from the tables smiling. In womens poker online there have been some great results in SCOOP and some online femme fatales are giving the guys a serious run for their money. WSOP.

The 2013 World of Poker Tour World Championship at the Bellagio in Las Vegas came to a conclusion on Thursday night with David “Doc” Sands winning the WPT $100,000 Super High Roller Event. After three days of play, Sands beat a star-studded field of 21 and took the title, along with a prize of $1,023,750. He beat Joseph Cheong in a brief heads-up match. Cheong came second with $614,250 and Daniel Perper placed third with $409,500. Only the top three players in the tournament took home the cash and it was Sands second million-dollar win of 2013.

Staying with WPT events, the play this week was something all ladies who enjoy womens poker online aim to emulate in a live arena one day. Saturday morning saw Chino Rheem win his second WPT title and $1,150,297 in the WPT Final Championship, defeating Erick Lindgren heads-up to claim the honour. Lindgren took home $650,275 and Rheem went on to join the likes of Scott Seiver, David Williams and Marvin Rettenmaier as winners of the WPT Championship title.

In World Series of Poker news, Jonathan Hilton became the only player to ever receive a WSOP bracelet on US soil outside of Las Vegas. Hilton topped a field of 127 and came first with a win of $355,599 in the WSOP National Championship. It was a tough final table but he emerged victorious and took home his first WSOP gold bracelet, making history whilst doing so. In second place was Max Steinberg, who won $219,799. The third-place finisher was Robert “Uncle Krunk” Panitch with $156,743. WSOP.

In men’s and womens poker online SCOOP has been making waves across the board. There have been some big winners in the last few days and amongst them was PokerStars pro Daniel Negreanu. Negreanu won a fifth WSOP bracelet and a prize of over $1 million in April, came fourth in the EPT Monte Carlo Grand Final Main Event and has now won his first SCOOP title and prize money of $216,000. It was his first big online win in Event #39-H and he joins Anthony “wwwBTHEREcom”Gregg, who won his first watch in Event #36-H. Gregg has won nearly $4 million in live poker tournaments and he now adds a SCOOP title to his record.
